Join Us for a Special Celebration at St George’s
Animal Blessing Service, 22nd June at 10:15am, St George’s Church in Stockport
On Sunday 22nd June at 10:15am, St George’s Church in Stockport will hold its Annual Animal Blessing Service. This much-loved tradition brings together people and pets for a meaningful and uplifting morning.

Bring Your Pet or a Picture
Over the years, we have welcomed all kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and the occasional hamster. This year, we are also pleased to be joined by two donkeys from Alwood Donkeys in the Wirral.
If your pet cannot attend in person, you are very welcome to bring a photograph or an image on your phone. Every animal will be included in the blessing, whether present or not.
A Time to Give Thanks
Each pet and their owner will receive a blessing during the service. It is a chance to pause and give thanks for the companionship, comfort, and joy that animals bring into our lives. We will also take time to reflect on their place in God’s creation.

Everyone Is Welcome
The Animal Blessing Service is a relaxed and friendly occasion that welcomes individuals, families, and animal lovers of all ages. Whether you bring a pet or simply wish to be part of this joyful moment, we would love to see you there.
